Handmade functional pottery based in Montreal

Biography

I have been a professional ceramicist since 2001, following training at the Westmount Visual Arts Center in Montreal and apprenticeships in pottery studios (after finishing a Masters in mathematics and biology). During my first years of production, I took part in the 1001 pots exhibitions at Val David and at the Montreal Arts and Crafts Fair.
In 2003 I moved to New York where I taught wheel throwing at the Union Square Ceramic Center for 2 years. I then lived for 10 years in Oxford, UK, where I continued to teach in my studio. During this period I was able to produce unique pieces fired in a gas kiln with reduction glazes. In parallel I made  utilitarian ware for restaurants using electric kiln firing.
In 2016 I moved back to Montreal where I continue to develop products in collaboration with restaurants and shops.
My pieces have been sold in galleries in the USA (Woman's Made Gallery, Forma Gallery) and England (Objects of Use, Junction Art Gallery, Octagon Gallery, Forge2 Gallery, West Ox Arts, Waterperry Gardens Gallery).
